Alysia Abbott will be in town for the Albion College History Department’s event at the Bohm Theatre at 7pm (it’s free and open to the public). This will be the Michigan premiere of the film adaptation of Ms. Abbott’s book.
Alysia is the author of Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father (2013), about growing up in the 1970s and 80s in San Francisco as the only child of a widowed gay man. The book was adapted for film in 2023, and was awarded a number of film festival awards.
The author will be visiting Stirling Books & Brew at 3pm to share about her work and answer questions, as well as sign copies of her book which are available for sale.
